Purpose
The Weidner Research Center is dedicated to researching and preserving the genealogy and history of the Weidner and Raupp families of Buffalo Grove, Illinois and their allied families. This is accomplished by collecting information through a variety of sources including relatives, photographs, letters, diaries, court records, vital records, United States Censuses, and other sources. You may also donate copies of such records.
Foundation
The Weidner and Raupp genealogies were first published for the occasion of Solemn blessing & dedication of St. Mary's School, Buffalo Grove, Illinois : by his eminence Samuel Alphonsus Cardinal Stritch, Cardinal Archbishop of Chicago, October 5, 1947; on the hundredth anniversary of the First Holy Mass in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, celebrated by the Reverend John H. Fortmann, pastor, St. Joseph's Church, Gross Point, Ill. in the fall of 1847.
The genealogies are available here as a PDF document. They are the foundation for what is published here.

In the interest of privacy vital information pertaining to deceased persons only is published to this site. I am slowly posting select pictures to this site. Standard information you will find here includes:
Name (Given and Last Name) and the middle name when known;
and if known, any one or more of the following:
Birth date and location
Baptism date
First Communion date
Confirmation date
Marriage date and location
Death date and location
Burial date and location or cremation
Whether or not a person/couple has any children
